Our Impact
Individuals affected by homelessness, substance dependency, mental illness, and progressive AIDS-related disability have the greatest need for assistance, but often find the social service system confusing and hard to navigate. Rosehedge addresses the needs of this challenging population by offering a comprehensive program providing housing, food, and health care in one place.
Rosehedge has cared for men and women living with AIDS since 1988. More than 500 men and women have called Rosehedge home.
In 2006, 75% of our residents had histories of homelessness. 25% of our new residents were diagnosed with substance abuse issues, and 75% were diagnosed with psychiatric problems. These conditions, along with the physical and mental impairments of AIDS, made it impossible for our residents to live on their own.
We are the only AIDS service provider in King County filling the vital niche between independent housing and skilled nursing facilities.
