Outstanding Partner in Building a Community of Compassion

SHIFT - The Peer Recovery Network has benefited over the past year from the dedication and hard work of Janet Qualman.  Janet has been an essential part of SHIFT's planning council, The Peer Advisory Committee, which provides feedback and direction for the project.  She has devoted much effort to planning and coordinating the SHIFT Recovery Retreat each year and also has worked many hours on SHIFT's Event Planning Committee, planning sober social events for those in recovery.  Janet also facilitates a weekly support group called Shifting Gears, which provides support to all members of the community who are seeking support from substance use.  SHIFT would like to acknowledge Janet Qualman as SHIFT's Volunteer of the Year 2011.
