SEATTLE, WA (August 31, 2011) - Rosehedge/Multifaith Works, provider of housing, compassionate health care and supportive services for King County residents living with HIV/AIDS, today announced a transition in the agency's leadership. Arthur Padilla has left the agency, having served as the agency's Executive Director for the past six years, and the board has voted to elect James Marshall-Ward to serve as Interim Executive Director.
"The appointment of James continues the new era that began with the successful merger of Rosehedge and Multifaith Works earlier this year," said Board President, Paul Binder. "We thank Arthur for his celebrated contributions to the organization, the people we serve and the community as a whole. As we build upon his accomplishments, we wish him the best with his future endeavors."
James started at Multifaith Works as a CareTeam Volunteer in 1998, served on the board in 1999, and joined the agency staff in 2000. He currently serves as the Director of Human Resources and Integration.
The organizations merged in January 2011 to provide greater services and advocacy to the thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS in King County.
Rosehedge/Multifaith Works began in 1988 as a reaction to the crisis presented by HIV/AIDS. The Seattle-based organization serves vulnerable men and women living with HIV/AIDS by providing housing, compassionate health care and three support programs. The agency's programs unite communities of compassionate care with people living in isolation and loneliness.
